I'm writing these reviews based on my personal experience. I'm not a technical writer so I may miss some technical points, I apologise for mistakes in advance.So I'll try to cover everything that was good and bad in my experience as a customer with Sony India and it's Product Xperia M5 Dual
Camera Reviews:
The only reason when I bought the Xperia M5 Dual was it's camera. I was actually impressed by the camera quality of this device. I was going to by Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge but when I compared both of these devices I found M5 has more promising camera than S6 Edge.
Front and back cameras are awesome. You'll get best Selfies even in the dark. Camera is really too good as compared to available devices in that price range and far better than IPhone 6, 6s.
Automatic and Manual both Modes works great.
Performance Reviews:
The device has 3GB RAM and 16GB internal memory out of which nearly 1.9GB of RAM and 10.5GB of Internal Memory is available for user. I thought it should be enough for a good performance but it wasn't. Many times while running heavy games phone produces heat problem and gets hanged then it restarted automatically.
Faced many times "SIM Not Detected" problem which was very annoying and unexpected from such a premium phone by Sony.
"Corrupt SD Card" this was the frequent failure that I have to face twice a week. It suggested me to format the SD Card but when I remove and reinserted the card everything becomes normal.
My images that were stored on SD Card become grey without any error. When I tried to open those images in Gallery No preview was available and similar thing happened on my Laptop as well. When I tried to open those images in my Laptop they were currupted in the phone itself. I lost hundreds of images due to that error.
Battery Reviews:
Battery is Inbuilt and is okay. Stamina mode gives you a longer battery life. It run for a day if you use internet, without internet it can go up for 2-3 days(depends on usage).
Water Proof:
Company claims that phone is water proof but if it gets any problem the first thing asked in the Service Center will be "Does your phone ever got wet or dipped in water?" In cross questioning they will say that it is water resistant not water proof.
After Sales Service:
Sony has a big brand name among the customers for its after sales service but in my personal experience this was not worthy of spending a single penny in Sony's products. After sales service are too much bad that the customer care executives even don't know where the hell is my phone. Actually I was on a call and when disconnected my display was gone(without any reason), I submitted my Xperia M5 Dual at Sony Authorized Service Center and they said that we've to send it to our service center in Ludhiana so it can take around 15 days so please be patient. I talked to one of the customer care executives on live chat and asked the status of my phone after around 10 days, he suggested me to check the status on servicetrack.rms.sony.co.in/ I kept checking for next 10 days but status was same that my device is under repairs. I called customer care and also talked to them over chat went to service center but nobody knows what's happening and the the status online huh I don't think that will change till my next life. I complained about all this on servicehead@ap.sony.com via mail. I received a call from a guy and he said we'll replace your handset as the parts required are not available with Sony, I said okay. Now it's one month completed since I deposited my phone at Sony Authorized service center but I still didn't received my phone and I still don't know how more I've to wait. Hats off Sony India what an excellent service you've given to me.
